TALLADEGA, AL -- Whirlwind Racing team has announced that it will join NTRL series this season. According to various sources, they will have two drivers for this season, Joonas Puhakka and Ian Smiff.
Ian basically wiped the table in his rookie season at V8 Thunder
as he won the Rookie Championship in Lites and Independent Championship
in Lites and Trucks, and finished 2nd in Lites and 11th in Trucks,
taking a win in both series and performing well overall. Joonas wasn't
so succesful, but he did have few good races, finishing 4th in Richmond
and hanging in podium in Daytona, until he got crashed in final lap.
Overall, Whirlwind racing consists two solid racers, who are smart but
not afraid to take risks, and capable of winning any day.
